Pow
Comic Books have always played a great role to reflect the nerd in me. Those combined with the active equal rights' actions I take as a woman, brought to me the idea of combining two of my ongoing passions.
Comics are a visual medium of expression. They lie in-between books and movies to present a story using bright colors and eye-catching artworks. For simplicity, I make use of a single medium throughout and display the soul of women like me. The comic art acts as tattoos stamped on women's bodies permanently.
Loving comic books, action movies, tattoos, and almost every pool of resources that might belong to a ‘boy’, at least how the stereotypical society around me described, defined every bit of me. Exposed to a library of comics, I still carry my passion for Archie, DC, and Marvel comic books. They accepted my boyish self, and they were never judgmental about it. So, to portray women, lesbians and bisexuals, and their feelings, I created a series of four artworks of comic art, reminding them of the things they freely express.
